How To Make Cruelty-Free Cleaning Products

Fed up of shelling out money for cleaning products which are full of chemicals? Here’s how you can make your own simple cleaning concoctions, and they are all completely cruelty-free!

All-purpose Cleaner:

You need to get a spray bottle, and add half a cup of white vinegar, 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, one tablespoon of washing up liquid, and the top it up with water and gently shake it to mix the ingredients. If you really hate the smell of vinegar, you can add a few drops of essential oil to mask the smell!

Window/Mirror Spray:

Take another spray bottle and add one cup of white vinegar, ½ a cup of rubbing alcohol, and top up with water. Shake vigorously to combine.

Floor Cleaner:

Add ¼ cup of white vinegar to 2 litres of hot water, and then add some essential oil to make it smell nicer

Toilet Cleaner:

Mix ¼ cup of bicarbonate of soda with a cup of white vinegar, and some essential oil if you want. Pour around toilet bowl and leave for 15-20 minutes, then scrub and rinse!

Bicarbonate of Soda

You can use bicarb to clean pretty much any surface just by sprinkling it over the area, add a small amount of water to create a paste, then leave for 10 minutes and then scrub and rinse! It’s good for cleaning baths and tiles!
